Portfolio Management:

Jeffrey W. Netols, CFA
President / Portfolio Manager
A seasoned portfolio manager with over 26 years of experience specializing in managing small cap portfolios, Jeff Netols brings a passion for investing, a strong performance track record, and commitment to providing his clients with the highest level of service. Jeff understands that building and sustaining long-standing client relationships is based on responsiveness and delivering the performance results clients expect.

In 2000, Jeff established Netols Asset Management to further his desire for applying his investment and research expertise in the small cap arena. The firm's business philosophy is based on managing a limited amount of assets, leveraging Jeff's 26 years of investment skills and unique change methodology approach to deliver strong performance to the clients it serves.

From 1993 to 2000, Jeff was a senior portfolio manager at Boston-based Putnam Investments in the Small Cap Value Group where he managed $1.3 billion in institutional portfolios and mutual funds. In addition to managing portfolios, he incubated and marketed an institutional small cap value product and raised over $550 million in assets. In 2000, he assisted in the development of a Small Cap proprietary product which received national recognition from a leading rating agency. Jeff also mentored small cap value and mid cap value portfolio managers within the organization. Products managed by this group attained industry recognition and included a high profile institutional client list. Jeff resigned from Putnam to establish his own firm in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Prior to joining Putnam, Jeff began his formal portfolio management career in 1985 at Associated Bank Corp. in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His mentor was John Nabor, a Founding Director of the Wisconsin State Retirement System. With Jeff's zeal for fundamental research and his quest for value, he created and established the small cap value product, with a focus on companies with a cap range of $50 million to $1.25 billion. Jeff managed over $130 million for the bank, including the small cap value product.
